The Beach with the Tomberlins
Right now I am at the beach with Mom, Dad, Jon, Kahea and kids. We are having a good time. Today Mom and I took Ikaika and Andrew to Wal-Mart. Ikaika was so funny. We were buying him a pez dispenser and he said "I bought it", I asked him if he used debit or credit and he yelled out real loud, "DEBIT"! People were laughing their heads off at him.
The kids have enjoyed the ocean but I think they prefer the pool. Weather is great! I love how you always have a cool breeze blowing on the beach.
Later, surf's up!

Sorry, I have gotten behind already. There has been a lot going on lately. Lacee is recovering nicely from her appendix removal. Dr. Humble did a good job but wasn't real humble! We were not real happy with him for sending her home the first night. Everything worked out okay in the end. Lacee is back at school and helping with kindergarten sign ups through her health occupations class.
Track is in full swing and James is participating this year after taking last year off. He is doing really well. The extra 6-7 inches of height has made a huge difference in hurdling. He is qualified for regionals in the 300 meter hurdles and the 4 x 800 relay team. He is a little over a half second off the school record for the hurdles. Half a second is a lot, but who knows!
Tasha is doing really well too. She just registered for the fall. She is on track to graduate in 4 years with a double major in computer science and business administration. She tutors on campus, is a challenger (mentor for new students), and serves on the student judicial board. She is the #1 fan of the softball team. Go Mars Hill!!!
Me, I am just snapping pictures. Sometimes I even get paid for it!

Wrestling
James doing an Eagle...
James is getting near the end of his senior year of wrestling. Their team won the conference championship for the first time in school history. They went 6-0 in conference matches. The closest one of those matches was 36-30 against last year's champions. The largest margin was 77-6 against Mountain Heritage. James was undefeated in conference matches. Next up is the individual conference championships tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed!

Where to begin
Where to begin....
We really liked Kahea's blog and I decided it might be fun to create one for us. I am lousy at writing letters and sending emails to keep in touch. Maybe this will work for us. We will at least give it a try!
